This project is the result of a spectacular design and build-out by architect and friend Brad Walker of Ruhl/Walker architects in Boston for a young couple just starting a family.
The dramatic 4000-sq-ft space is highlighted by expansive views and soaring 18-ft+ ceilings. The client wanted a clean, contemporary look with a reflection of their personal style. The entry/gallery space is highlighted by a large custom sculptural bench, two large oversize paintings and a tall ceramic vessel filled with petrified wood branches. The living room/dining room is arranged into three zones, dining, casual conversation and formal seating with the middle zone able to accent each of the two end zones as needed. The Flexform sofas look as if they are floating on lucite legs arranged around the fireplace and a custom coffee table that houses artwork and books on a second lower shelf. The dining room is accented by a custom dining table and two cantilevered consoles. The master bedroom features a custom king-size bed.
